“Gaia” is a term derived from Greek mythology, referring to the primal Greek goddess personifying the Earth. She is often depicted as the ancestral mother of all life, the primal Mother Earth goddess. 

The concept of Gaia has also been extended beyond mythology into scientific contexts, such as the Earth hypothesis which suggests that the Earth functions as a self-regulating system.

Gaia” suggests a deep connection between the eye, representing perception or observation, and the natural world within it. It implies a reverence for the Earth and its ecosystems, and perhaps a recognition of the interconnectedness between all living beings.
